Bean TorrentEdit

Bean Torrent, which was designed by David Elliott (USA) in 2007, is not a mancala game despite the author's claim that it is "a variation of Mancala" or "a game in the Mancala family". The seeds are neither [[sowing (game mechanism)|sown] nor [reverse sowing|collected] in a mancala-like fashion. The move mechanism of Bean Torrent called TRANSACTIONS is completely unlike mancala.

In fact, numerous games have a "simple board design and some type of bean, seed, or stones for the game pieces" or a "game play consists of moving the pieces from one place to another". Nor is a circular design of the board sufficient for calling a game a "variation of Mancala". --Mr Mancala 16:41, July 2, 2012 (UTC)
