Scrambled Volcano is a variant of Volcano where the nests are created in a random pattern layer by layer (pawn-drone-queen). It was created in 2008 by Jim Dunaway (USA). The game can be played by 2 - 4 persons.

Setup

  1. Place all of the pawns into the opaque bag and shake the bag vigorously. Remove the pawns one at a time and place them on the board, starting with the upper-left corner filling each spot going left to right, then down to the next row until all of the pawns have been placed on the board.
  2. Place all of the drones into the opaque bag and shake the bag vigorously. Remove the drones one at a time and place them on the board, starting with the upper-left corner filling each spot going left to right, then down to the next row until all of the drones have been placed on the board.
  3. Place all of the queens into the opaque bag and shake the bag vigorously. Remove the queens one at a time and place them on the board, starting with the lower-left corner, filling each spot going diagonally.
  4. Place the Volcano caps on the red pyramids.
